Service Locator/Leading Hand

We are seeking Service Locators/Leading Hands that are hands on and demonstrate the following:

  • 3 Years' experience in service location or surveying

  • Ability to liaise with customers on the ground

  • Willingness to work in a team and mentor other staff

  • The ability to read and interpret site plans

  • Ability to produce utility surveying and mapping plans

  • Experience with GPR

  • Driver's Licence (C Class minimum)

High Pressure Gas Locator

We are seeking a qualified  High Pressure (HP) Gas locators/supervisors who ATCO Gas Australia have deemed as capable of safe and reliable locating and supervising of thirty party works within 5 metres of any ATCO Gas Australia Gas network HP pipeline or associated asset. 

As a minimum the applicants shall demonstrate they have the following:

  • Current Certificate of Approval from ATCO as a HP Gas Pipeline Locator

  • Current drivers licence

  • Commitment to quality and safety and in particular protecting ATCO's HP Gas Pipelines

  • The ability to read and interpret site plans and DBYD's

The position is full-time for an immediate start, working with an excellent team with Excellent remuneration packages plus penalties and incentives.

 

Supervisor - Service Locator

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Service Location Supervisor for full-time position.

The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of a site’s daily / weekly operations plan, as delegated by the Manager, to ensure its safe, effective and efficient delivery.  This may involve technical support, preparing, initiating, monitoring, adjusting and reporting on the delivery of the works, and monitoring of day labour’s performance. 

Position Requirements 

  • Access, interpret and apply compliance documentation relevant to the work activity.

  • Prepare and review site sketches and survey reports

  • Provide technical support to the Locating Team

  • Relay HSEQ rules and regulations, legislation and specific site instructions to team.

  • Conduct site HSEQ audits as required, and, if necessary, direct the implementation of corrective measures.

  • Contribute to the identification of site-specific delivery risks, and contingencies to be allowed for in the execution of the plan

  • Oversee site set-up, mobilisation and demobilisation as directed by the Manager.

  • Monitor the availability of materials to meet work schedules and the requirements of the works package.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients and key stakeholders as appropriate to the role.

  • Take action to ensure all personnel on site are clear about their responsibilities and the project requirements.

  • Provide support including technical support for personnel, to ensure that the quality of the expected outcomes of the project and documented time lines are met.

  • Manage the performance of employees and provide coaching as required to support their development.

Essential criteria:

  • Minimum 5 years in underground service utilities location in the civil construction industry

  • Strong supervisory and people management skills

  • Must be able to read and interpret plans/drawings and as constructed drawings

  • High regard for safety and quality

  • Intermediate computer skills

  • Construction Safety Card (White Card)
